NOTE: This is the first 4.3 release and should not be considered a polish milestone. I have been using Commotio/vanir 4.3 for about 2 weeks, and as of today, I feel it is stable for general testing, but expect issues to pop up here and there. Hi, i test your rom, it’s simply beautiful and fast.Can i ask just a pleasure?In next release can you insert mod for dp navbar?This Rom is amazing,plauses for you!
Anything is possible
This seems to be a popular request.
because small navbar improves the display surface and is more polished/cute. 😉
I hope in a future release with this feature.Thanks!
hello, your rom is wonderful,it’s possible to reduce the navbar dp?Thank you for great job…
Hi! Congrats for this incredible rom, i luv it! As requested by other users, i ask to insert the mod for dp navbar and if it was possible to update the rom to the newer version 4.1.2. Don’t forget to do the maguro version for this beautiful rom!
Thanks so much for your work! 😉
Help! It looks like after the upgrade to B22, I lost all my Exchange/Corp email accounts and I can’t add them back in (no option). Was Exchange accidentally omitted from this build? If so, it’s a major concern for those of us with corp emails.
Thanks,
Danny
I fixed and will be included in next build. I a bit I may upload an addon zip to fix it quickier
Commotio 23 seems to have broken my WiFi. It says that it is connected but I can not browse any pages or download anything.
@deric
I cannot replicate this. What build, devise, clean or dirty install?
@DHO
VZW galaxy nexus build 23 clean install…I wiped everything again just to check, and re installed…same result. wifi signal comes on and stays grey (doesn’t turn blue like usual) and unable to sync data, download/load webpages, etc. Don’t know…maybe just me.
Is B27 for Toro posted yet? Also, are there notes on where to find the new features (clock mods, LED notification, Zen V15, selectable gtalk, and more)?
@DK
Likely out this afternoon. Am trying to decide if I like the kernel
Hello, The call volume is too lower… How can i solve it?
Which build?
Also you can try enabling Volume Boost in the Vanir Config
DHO, has B30 been posted yet? I can’t seem to find it.
Not up yet, that’s why 🙂
I like your ROMs; I just tried your latest ROM.
I was curious though, does the ROM have init.d support, or support tweaks such as those found in: http://androidforums.com/sony-ericsson-xperia-mini/538098-tips-tricks-tweaks-power-boosting-your-android-phone.html. I was reading some of the build.prop and it looks like some of those are all ready enabled.
Any eta on b30? B29 is killing my experience with the damn reboots!
Yep, fully enabled
Yep, it’s up on all servers
volum rocker wake do not active…
Thanks for the feedback
This is on the radar, it will likely require a re-write of this feature.
I’m not much of a developer so forgive me but how do i enable the status/navigation mods?
Sure, go to Settings –> Display and you will see menus for each.
Is there anyway that you know of to enable the older Bluetooth Stacks so that the Wiimote works with 4.2.1.?
I am not sure,… I will do a quick google for it
Or possibly a flashable zip that would allow me to use 4.1.2’s Bluetooth.sh
@Shawn
Unfortunately that would not work,… it would be missing too many dependencies.
I browsed CM 10 and google and did not see a solution, but will keep an eye out. I am not sure of the spec that wiimote needs, if I can find the technicals I can port it.
that would be great. Thank you so much for looking. Love your rom. Ive been on board since b27 and have’nt found anything as smooth and efficient as this. Thanks
I seem to be running into alot of bugs with this rom. Random lock ups. Google Now not working with the swipe up gesture. Phone calls coming in but being unable to answer them as the screen completley blacks out. phone then resets and there is no record of a call coming in besides a voicemail being left. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
@Shawn
Perhaps try a clean install? Or a new kernel?
The google now not working the navi ring is a known issue, I have been unable to pinpoint.
Aside from that I have not experienced the other issues nor heard them in other forums. If you send me a logcat of any crashes or errors it would be much appreciated and allow me to better fix things for you 😉
Hello DHO,
I’m OU’][‘lander from XDA, first of all thanks for your great work, this ROM is really awsome.
I have been testing your B36-Commotio-MAGURO since 05/02, and i have noticed only today that the sound volume of voice calls is very low, even if it’s setted to max. Would you mind checking it?
This issue seems to come and go on Maguro and I have trouble narrowing it down.
Sometimes lowering the volume -1 then raising will fix. but yes I am looking into it.
DHO – I have that same volume issue with both handset and speakerphone. You are right about lowering and raising, that seems to fix things sometimes. This is on Toro.
Hey DHO, Any way of porting over some of the touchwiz motion controls into the rom. I think those would be some cool features to have. Like pulling up the contact and then bringing the phone to your ear to initiate call and such.. Thanks in advance for a great rom
My understanding is TouchWhiz is closed source. I have not used it in years, so I am uncertain of what it currently offers. It would be easy to port if found in any open source ROMS.
It would like be possible t add to my branch of Speaker Proximity by making a few new java files,… It’s something to think about.

Call low volume .
Guys, I’m on M5-B42_commotio-Maguro……I have very low call volume as well. I just can’t hear people on the other side…any suggestion?
Turn the volume down then up.
I will try to get a fix out today address this
I tend not to leave many comments, however I looked at a
great deal of remarks on this page [ROM] Commotio – Toro – Toroplus – Maguro – Android 4.
1.2 | DHO. I actually do have 2 questions for you if
it’s allright. Is it just me or do a few of the remarks come across like they are written by brain dead visitors? 😛 And, if you are writing at other online social sites, I’d
like to follow you. Could you post a list of every one of your social
networking sites like your Facebook page, twitter
feed, or linkedin profile?
Im on the latest version of your rom. with the 4.2.2 radios as well. and i seem to have a lot of difficulty getting a gps lock.. any tips?
@Shawn
If you look in the system/etc folder I have several files names gps.old, gps.old2 and so on. If you can rename these files to gps.conf to see if some of the older configurations work.
GPS is fickle, seem to work great for a month or 2 then it changes yet again.

oh ok thank you soo much.. you rock!!
Do we need Gapps separately for b46? or is it baked in as usual
@Shawn
With Commotio separate Gapps are never required
Yea thats what i was thinking.. for some reason with the goodownload application the gapps showed up and usually that only appears when its needed for roms… Thanks again for the tech support
I wanted to report an issue on my toro (vzw) Galaxy Nexus with B49. It seems as if i can’t play any music as it will lock up my phone and i’ll have to pull the battery. I haven’t tried any previous builds and i came from JDX 13.3 (4.2.2 AOSP rom). I did a clean install and even tried again using your script but no avail. Other than that issue this is probably the most stable/responsive rom and I have ever had the pleasure of running on my GNEX and wanted to say keep up the awesome work.
